Hello out there!  You may have noticed a new ad on the website.  It’s for http://www.SendaFrog.com, a venture began by best friend and partner in crime, Colleen.  Check it out, ladies.  It really is the cutest thing.  The frog has a froggy stamp stamped directly on it, and the address and message as well.  The neatest part of all is that he arrives au natural.  No box, no wrapping.  Just a rubber frog in all his glory, staring out at the recipient with a big smile.  I’ve sent several, and the reactions are great.  Consider it to liven up some one’s day.  The mail people seem to love it too!

Personal Details

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Before I started a blog I had never read one.  As a techno-phobe I didn’t use the computer for anything more than email and typing and printing letters.  It’s my PIC (Partner In Crime) Colleen that does all the computer related stuff.  We decided to do some sort of project together, and this is what we came up with.  She has dragged me kicking and screaming to this point.

So what’s up with personal details?  Is it true, as my husband says that everything out there is already in various places and there is no privacy?  I find it very creepy.  But here’s some personal stuff.  Between myself and my PIC we have three children and 5 husbands.  She has a brother and I have 2 older brothers and a baby sister.  She’s an Aquarius and I’m a Capricorn.  She’s a year a month and a week younger than I.  We live about a half hour from each other.  We’re both Caucasian.  And speaking of race, what is the deal anyway?  Most black people aren’t black they are brown.  And white people are sort of light beige.  I’ve met several Native Americans and none of them are red.  In my experience Asian people are not yellow.  Now that I’ve gone totally off topic gotta run.  My dryer is buzzing at me.  Much less to iron if you hang the laundry right away………….

Computers and Bears

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

It’s been one of those days.  Colleen tried to introduce me to wonders of the computer.  I’m a slowwwwwwwwwww learner.  Looking on the bright side, I had to stay home all day and wait for the bear lady any way. This is not a typo and has nothing to do with nudity.  She’s a very nice young woman that brings a large barrel type bear trap and takes it and the bear away   She’s done it once before but we caught a “little” one about 200 pounds.  Not the big guy that we were trying to get.  He is the one who ripped open our kitchen window screen and was met by a cactus on our window sill.  He is 400 pounds plus.  Don’t even get me started about the locals who get upset that we’re being mean to bears.  A male member of the “save the bears brigade” was annoyed that a neighbor had a bear trap.  His solution?  He brought over some of his own urine and sprinkled it around said trap, because bears avoid human urine.  Folks, you can’t make this stuff up

woman_computer2So today I learned a little about the working of the computer. Colleen is what some call my BFF.  I prefer the term Partner in Crime.  At any rate she was very patient.  By the end of the day I was ready to feed the computer to the bear, thus taking care of two problems.
