January often brings to me the need to clear some cobwebs. So off I went on a little walk, all bundled up and trying my best to avoid breaking another toe on the ice. The fresh air felt good as I strode along lost in thought. (unfamiliar territory, don’t you know). I became aware of movement behind me and a voice called “wash it! wash it!” Well, I was perfectly clean, but that situation was instantly rectified as I turned. I was met by a very large dog of indeterminate parentage who proceeded to place his very muddy paws on my chest. Such enthusiasm! Well, it never does hurt to make a new friend. If a little mud is the worst part of my day, I’m a lucky lady.
Good Night All!
Talk about unfamiliar territory, I was in Arizona last week with my son after driving with him from Florida in only 31 1/2 hours. After a good nights sleep at my nieces house we all decided we wanted to go hiking. Do you know that the altitude is much higher in Arizona compared to Florida? I know I am out of shape but truly about 5 minutes into the hike and I could not do it, made me realize it had to be the altitude.
Also I had a close encounter with cactus, they stick to everything! Got them off but what should have been enjoyable time was a bit prickly, but fun nonetheless. Oh well, yes, yes I am out of shape but I walked for an hour yesterday without any problems here in Florida.
God bless you, I sure couldn’t walk an hour in Florida — certainly not a brisk walk. The heat/humidity would do me in! Great to hear from you, old friend.
